1. Refrigeration Equipment Engineer
REPORTS TO
Office Manager / Managing DirectorLOCATION
Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, M4 Corridor, MidlandsJOB PURPOSE
You will be responsible for:Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance and breakdown repair on all aspects of Refrigeration Equipment.
DIMENSIONS
To cover a large geographical area as outlined above. There is no staff responsibility.ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
Our company supplies, installs and maintains all facets of commercial refrigeration equipment for major foodservice providers. We are a limited company with 3 directors, engineers and support staff.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To undertake diagnostic / repair and preventative maintenance tasks on refrigeration equipment
- To respond to instructions in a timely manner meeting any defined requirements
- To follow working practices as directed
- To attend customer sites on a regional basis
- To provide weekend cover and out of hours service on a rota basis
- To communicate on a regular basis with head office providing updates on work tasks
- To comply with company Health & Safety rules and notify your manager of any concerns
- To carry out any ad hoc duties as requested
PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL
- Formal Refrigeration Gas Handling Certificate
- Electrical experience (ideally 16th Edition although training and certification can be provided)
- The ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative
- The ability to produce detailed worksheets in accordance with company procedure
- Flexible approach to all work instructions given
- To conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and to be an ambassador for the company
- The ability to communicate with head office staff, management and customers on a daily basis
- To achieve company performance targets
- To have good organisational skills
DESIRABLE
- Broad experience of the commercial catering industry
